Daily Study

Most people of today do not realize the important of the Word of God. As Christians we must realize that the devil's biggest asset is keeping is so busy and caught up in the cares of this world, that we have no time to read & understand the Word. The Bible proclaims "thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee". Ever wonder why people today seem to have little to no interest in Church, and only depend on God when they want something? Its a lack of the study of His Word.

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". If you understand the Word of God then you will understand the character of God. This is no time to be caught up in the cares of this life. We need to heed the teaching of Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind..." The aim of the enemy is to keep us caught up with secular affairs and keep our eyes off the important things.

Matthew 24:43-44 "But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh". This is a serious warning folks, we need to humble ourselves and stop living our lives as if God & His Word is just something to do when you hit 50 years of age or older. Sports, drugs, sex, technology, and egos have become the most important think in the mind of the modern individual today. Persons and mixing creation & evolution theories. Persons are asking the question: Is there really a God??

Friends, I want to suggest to you that Jesus Christ is the answer to every problem you face and you have to be in tune with His Word to understand the times in which we live. The Bible is not something to be taken out weekly at a Church service, but it is rather the map the leads us to Eternal Life. Matthew 4:4 "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word the proceedeth out of the mouth of God". We can do nothing in and of ourselves and it is only because of the mercies of God that we survive! We will take time to go and watch all the latest movies, be on facebook 24/7, and study for hours at a time for school exams, yet we neglect the Word of God? Only what is done for Christ will last friends. Jesus said Himself in Mark 8:36 "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?".

In conclusion friends we need to pray the prayer of David found in Psalms 51: 10 "Create in me a cleane heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me". Yes technology is good friends, and there is nothing wrong with good clean fun. But we must watch out for the snares of the devil. He wants to keep us busy. He wants to keep up from reading God's Words of Life so when he brings his false prophets, we won't know enough truth to stand up for it! Don't let this be your fate, renew your mind with the daily study of the Holy Word of God today! Humble yourself!

2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land".
